A Little Backstory…
We have produced impressive creations for well-known clients like Bill Clinton's Inaugural Festival, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville restaurants, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and many Mardi Gras House Floats.
We are proud to have served the Louisiana entertainment industry and beyond for 25 years, persisting through difficult times like Hurricane Katrina by adapting and renovating houses. Our team embodies diverse talents and a strong passion for our work. We hire local artists in New Orleans, a vibrant and diverse city that provides us with exciting opportunities to showcase our unique and fun 'New Orleans-y aesthetic'.
Ian Darrow is the second-generation owner of Stronghold Studios. His father, Bill Darrow, founded the studio in 1997. Ian has a BA degree in Industrial Design from the University of Louisiana and spent four years as a sculptor at Ford Motor Company, specializing in automotive design models. He has a keen eye for detail and can meet any creative requirement. With his expertise in materials and fabrication techniques, Ian ensures that every project at Stronghold goes above and beyond client expectations. He is involved from the initial proposal to the final installation, ensuring a high level of quality throughout the entire process.
Coco Darrow, co-owner, wears multiple hats within the art and design field which makes her an invaluable leader of our skilled team. Coco’s creativity and innovation in design are the backbone of Stronghold's aesthetic. Her thorough project management approach centers on excellent communication and allows for collaboration across diverse projects.
She possesses exceptional organizational skills and has a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of a project is seen through to completion. Her leadership qualities, and ability to bring a team together, make her an invaluable asset in delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
